The directory hands you the good vendors and you contact them yourself — free, as always. But if you’re planning from abroad, or simply would rather not carry it all, Ana coordinates your wedding on the Samaná Peninsula. That part is a paid service, and what it costs is right below.
Some couples enjoy planning and just need the right contacts. The directory is for them. And some couples live in Boston, are marrying in Cosón, and have neither the time nor the local network to coordinate twenty vendors in another language and another time zone. Ana is for them.
Three levels, three prices, published. They start with a one-hour call and go all the way to Ana standing in the setup at six in the morning on your wedding day.

Ana has lived in Las Terrenas for 8 years, and has been organising weddings and events across the peninsula that whole time. She knows the vendors in person, not from a list: who picks up the phone on a Sunday, which kitchen can actually plate 120 covers, which beach turns impossible in March.
She's the one who answers your email, drives out to see a venue on an ordinary Tuesday, and is there at six in the morning on setup day. She also writes the editor's notes you see on every listing in the directory.
Orientation call
An hour with you and a route in writing. It's the way in — and for a lot of couples, all they actually need.

The events around it are priced separately
We don’t sell "a three-day weekend", because no two weddings run the same programme. Full coordination covers the wedding day; every additional event you want to run costs US$1,200: the welcome dinner, the farewell brunch, the beach day with your guests, the trip out to El Limón. You add only the ones you’ll actually do, and you know the cost before you decide.
Where we coordinate
The Samaná Peninsula only: Las Terrenas, Samaná, Las Galeras, El Limón and Cosón. It’s where Ana knows the vendors first-hand, where she can drop by a venue on an ordinary Tuesday, and where she can stand behind what she promises.
If you’re marrying in Punta Cana, Cap Cana, La Romana or Puerto Plata, the directory is still yours and still free, and we’ll happily do the orientation call. What we won’t do is coordinate a wedding in a region we aren’t walking through every week.
How we charge — no fine print
Ana charges a fee for coordinating. That’s it. We don’t mark up vendors’ quotes, we don’t take a hidden commission for sending you to one or another, and it doesn’t cost more to book a vendor "through" coordination than on your own. If a recommendation ever means we earn something, we tell you.
- 40% on signing. It blocks your date in Ana’s calendar. It isn’t refundable, because from that moment the date stops being available to anyone else.
- 40% at 90 days out.
- 20% at 7 days out.
- The orientation call is paid in full up front, through a PayPal link we email you before booking the call.
- Everything in US dollars, and Ana never collects or holds your vendors’ money — you pay them directly, on your own contract and your own terms.
- Moving the date is free once, within the next 12 months, if the vendors allow it.
What you get, and when
- Within 48 hours: a PDF proposal with the recommended package, the exact scope and a closed price.
- On acceptance: a one-page agreement. One. You can read it in five minutes.
- Throughout: a shared budget sheet where you can always see where your money is going and who has been paid what.
- Two weeks out: the dossier with the timeline, the contacts and who does what.
- On the day: Ana on site, if you booked full coordination.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to hire coordination to use miboda?
No. The directory is and will stay free: you search, compare, request information and book vendors directly, at no cost and no commission. Coordination with Ana is a separate, optional service for couples who'd rather not do it alone. If you want to organize your wedding yourself, the directory gives you everything you need.
Why publish the price when almost nobody does?
Because asking what something costs is uncomfortable, and that discomfort stops a lot of people from ever asking. We'd rather you knew on your first visit whether this fits your budget, without having to email us to find out. The figures you see are the real starting point: they go up if your wedding has more guests or more events, and that's written down too.
What happens to the US$200 if I book a package afterwards?
It comes off the package price in full, as long as you book within 60 days of the call. In practice, if you continue with us the call is free. And if you decide to organize it yourself, you still keep the PDF, the budget and the vendor contacts — it's yours, not a demo.
Does Ana only work with directory vendors?
She starts there because they're the ones we've already vetted, but she isn't limited to them. If your wedding needs something that isn't in the directory, Ana finds it. What we don't do: mark up quotes or charge you a hidden premium for using one vendor over another. Her fee is for coordinating — not a disguised commission.
Do you handle the legal side too?
In the orientation call and in partial coordination we guide you: which ceremony suits you (civil, symbolic or religious), which documents you need, how long they take and which deadlines you can't miss. In full coordination we handle it — registrar, documents and translations. The requirements are explained in the Journal; in the full package, someone also makes sure they're met on time.
Who is Ana?
Ana is a partner and operations director at miboda, with more than 20 years in events, food and hospitality on the peninsula. She's the one who receives every directory request and knows the vendors we recommend first-hand. Coordinating weddings is the natural extension of what she already does every day.
